The FNTI Team hosted a speakeasy-themed dinner at the annual Texas Land Title Institute in San Antonio. Agents were treated to an entertaining evening of fine dining, cocktails, hand-rolled cigars, dancing and live jazz music. Buzzing with conversation and laughter from the get-go, guests enjoyed the opportunity to build lasting relationships with other agents in attendance. Chris Phillips and the FNTI group would like to thank all those who attended for spending the evening with them.

In August, First National Title Insurance Company set up a fund to support our independent agents in the Houston area affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Through the generous donations of our employees, friends, and another regional underwriter, Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company, we were able exceed our goal and raise over $10,000.
Now comes the most important and enjoyable part of this effort—the giving. Of the 14 independent agents that represent FNTI in the Gulf Coast Region, four companies reached out to us for support.
I am pleased to report that we have distributed over $10,000 to the following agents:
- Admiral Title, LLC, Bay City – $2,000
- Guaranty Title of South Texas/Bedgood Title, Victoria – $1,500
- South Land Title, LLC, Galveston – $4,555
- PT-Patriot Title, LLC, Houston – $2,500
The needs are still great and the recovery/rebuilding efforts will continue for many more months, so please continue to keep those affected by this disaster in your thoughts and prayers.
We at FNTI are so thankful to have played a small role in providing assistance to those in need and appreciate everyone that supported our efforts. It is a testament to the spirit of giving and compassion that has allowed us this gift.
Jamie Barker, Ray Reece and Cheri Swanson attend the Dallas 100 finalist reception at the SMU Cox Caruth Institute on October 12th. Final award rankings are to be announced next month. Congratulations to our entire FNTI team for this incredible recognition. We also thank all of our independent agents for their continued support.
Suzanne Tinsley and Sean Everest enjoyed a festive night with Legend Title and Abstract in Laredo, Texas, commemorating Dia de la Independencia, Independence Day, a Mexican holiday to celebrate the “cry of independence”. Legend Title hosted their local real estate industry friends at their main office location for this popular annual event.
The devastating impact of Hurricane Harvey will have a long-term impact on the Gulf Coast for many, many months. There is an immediate need for the basic necessities, but there will also be a long-term need as families and businesses rebuild their homes and offices. We won’t know how long our title insurance family businesses will be disrupted but want you to know that our team is working on a plan to support both immediate and long-term needs.
As the relief efforts become clearer, I will keep you posted on our plans to help those Houston-area families in need and how you can assist us with that effort.
