Happy August! With summer winding down and the kids heading back to school, it’s time to recharge the batteries and hit fall with a fury.
We at FNTI start each day with a plan, but often it doesn’t end up the way we envisioned it. I know that this is probably also true with our agents. Each day, someone has to step up, go outside the box (or comfort zone), and do something “awesome.” Our office has established an award for the person that rises above and beyond called “The Chalice of Awesomeness!” It may sound a bit silly, but it makes a point that anyone can be awesome when awesomeness comes a calling.
Through my travels and interactions with our FNTI agents, I realize that every single one of you has displayed random acts of awesomeness at some time at your office. Some of these may be:
- The person at your office who soothes the angry Realtor screaming for whatever reason. Awesome!
- The person who informs the surveyor that there are problems with the survey and that he needs to make it right before closing so the buyers can get the keys to their new home. Awesome!
- The boss who copies all the documents at the end of the month (and does not destroy the copier in the process) to allow the escrow officers to close their deals on time. Awesome!
- The person who stays into the night to close a transaction allowing the parties to not miss work. Awesome!
Our “Chalice of Awesomeness” is not expensive or ornate—it’s plastic—but it expresses more than words can say. If you would like FNTI to provide you with your own “Chalice,” let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s to an Awesome August and a fantastic Fall season!
