First National Title Insurance Company (FNTI) is proud to announce a new charity initiative for 2017. In the past, we have contributed the course fees from our Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) educational seminars to a worthwhile program each year. Starting in January, we will support the Center for BrainHealth Warrior Initiative. My father, Buck Horn, who has been mentioned before in this blog, was a big supporter of the Center for BrainHealth. When he passed in 2008, the Buck Horn Opportunity Fund was established to provide scholarships for military warriors to participate in the Center’s Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Training (SMART) program. This training helps warriors and their spouses or caregivers more effectively achieve successful and fulfilling personal and professional lives after a brain injury.
The Buck Horn Opportunity Fund has already helped multiple warriors since it was established. Based on the course fees collect in 2016, we could help an additional 15-20 individuals next year. Similar scholarships have also been set up with the Center for BrainHeath that include sponsors like Lee Roy Jordan and Daryl “Moose” Johnson, both former players of the Dallas Cowboys, seen in the photo above.
FNTI is a proud supporter of our military. We are humbled by the sacrifices our service men and women have given to protect our freedoms and are honored to participate in this worthy cause. Please ask your agency manager about hosting a TREC seminar in your area, as we are eager to help.
