Pressures of the everyday world are tough on all of us as we live our lives in work and at home. But, imagine if you had a physical disability to add to those everyday pressures.
One of our First National Title Agents, Phil Adams from Gainesville, Texas shared with us an opportunity to help children with type 1 diabetes through Camp Sweeney located in Gainesville, Texas. Every child enrolled in one of their 3 week summer sessions either has diabetes or is at risk of having diabetes. Phil’s grandson, Mason, has diabetes and attends this camp to help him learn how to cope with the challenges that come with having the disease. For the last two years, with Phil’s help, First National Title Insurance Company is proud to have helped a child attend camp and enter an environment where they feel like they belong from the moment they enter the gates. Since 1950, Camp Sweeney has made over 35,000 children with diabetes feel like they belong.
If you know of a child or a family that could benefit from Camp Sweeney, regardless of where they live, FNTI can help put them in contact with Phil Adams and Camp Sweeney. If you are like me…there is nothing like bringing a smile to a child’s face. You can see the pressure of the everyday world simply disappear.
