Attorney and First National Title agent, Jackson Hanks, was recognized as the Citizen of the Year for 2015 at the Palestine Chamber of Commerce annual banquet on October 17, 2015. The honor took Hanks completely by surprise. He thanked the chamber for the award and stated, “It is a rare privilege, but it’s something that each one of us can strive to achieve. It takes a loving heart, a giving sprit, and the want to help Palestine become the best it can possibly be.”
Hanks is a Palestine native and has always been active in the community previously serving as mayor from 1989-95 and as past president of the chamber. He is also the founder of Blankets and Bears that provides new blankets and stuffed bears to children in Anderson County that have been traumatized or abused.
Hanks received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston and returned to Palestine to practice law. In 1998, he expanded his practice and opened Texas First Title Company. His company has been a First National Title agent since May 2013.
First National Title would like to congratulate Jackson Hanks on his award and this well-deserved recognition!
