At First National Title, we have a unique business purpose/mission, “To be the independent title agent’s preferred source for its underwriting needs by providing outstanding service and solutions with integrity and respect.” Is your company’s purpose of business to make money or to provide a passionate service? Let’s face it, we all want to make money in the end, but, doctors, teachers, and others alike do not set out to only make money or have a profitable bottom line. They have more of a passion to heal and teach, which is why they do what they do.
Some of the most inspiring leaders think in a different manner; a formula that creates a successful culture sets their team up for success. Our culture is what makes FNTI stand out. Most company employees know what their product and job is – and some employees know how each aspect of the company works, but how many employees know why the company is in business? Knowing why the company actually exists provides a contagious will for the company to complete each task that makes up the whole product and to be able to sell it with meaning. Leaders who inspire their employees to understand and believe in all three aspects, “What, How, and Why”, create a successful culture for everyone involved in the business. This builds passion in the company and drives everyone. The way I see it, people do not necessarily purchase what you do or what you are selling – they purchase why you sell your products, because they want to be a part of what you believe in!
If you have not already created the “why” or mission of your company, I encourage you to do so. Spread the message around your company in order to create this infectious culture that can sell anything. First National believes in you, the independent agents. That is why we are a successful underwriter and why you choose to issue our policies more than other underwriters!
